FAQ

Where are you located? Do you offer services remotely?

I am located in Cleveland, OH and typically offer in-person Home Implementation services in the Greater Cleveland area. Currently, Virtual Home Implementation services are being offered remotely due to Covid-19, and can be received by anyone in the U.S. regardless of location. The Accessibility Report package is always conducted remotely, and you can receive these services from anywhere in the United States. If you live outside the U.S., please contact me for more information.

What age ranges do you work with?

I work with all age ranges, from preschool age children to adults. The earlier in life that a person's home in made accessibile to their experience of the world, the greater the benefit, but it is never too late to provide support.

What level of support needs (high/low) can you work with?

The services I offer are equally beneficial and adaptable to individuals with all levels of support needs, including those who are nonspeaking and/or have an intellectual disability. Whether or not I believe my services are a good fit and will move forward with you as a client depends on a number of factors, not only support/functioning levels.

Can you teach my child to do XYZ?

The services I provide are not aimed at teaching individuals how to do certain tasks, but rather to make the environment and process of doing those tasks easier for them. Ideally, clients should already possess the skills or have emerging skills in an area, but possibly struggle to demonstrate those skills consistently, independently, or stress-free. That is where the Spectrumize system can come in and offer the most benefit, organizing and structuring systems to make daily living and other essential activities more accessible.

I am an autistic adult. Can I use your services for myself?

Yes! I am happy to offer my services to autistic adults as the primary client.

I have two or more children on the spectrum, can I use your services for both of them?

Yes! I am able to provide my services for multiple members of a family at once. For the Accessibility Report pacakge, there is a $100 fee per additional family member. For the Home Implementation service the price per hour stays the same. However, with more children receiving individualized systems, likely more hours will need to be booked.

My child does not have an autism diagnosis/has another diagnosis. Can you work with them?

I can work with individuals who are diagnosed with any Autism Spectrum Disorder, including Aspergers and Pervasive Developmental Disorder. I can also work with individuals with ADHD, or other learning and developmental disabilities that may benefit from home organization based on needs related to executive functioning, sensory/information processing, and communication.

An official diagnosis is not necessarily needed if you believe you or your child would benefit. During an initial consultation, I can determine what exactly your needs are and if I believe my services would be a good fit. If I feel I cannot offer the most beneficial services for your particular needs, I will do my best to refer you to someone else.
